Derry, N.H. — Mr. Kenneth J. Baillargeon Sr., 62, of Derry died on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Parkland Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1950 in Lawrence, where he was raised and educated.
Ken is the son of Louis and Lucille (Gaumond) Baillargeon of Salem, N.H. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. At a young age Kenny started working at Raytheon in the machine shop and worked there for 38 years until his retirement as a manager. He enjoyed spending his summers on his boat “The Highland Reel” at Mackenzie's Landing in Amesbury, where he loved fishing, soaking up the sun and just enjoying time with family and friends. While at home during the winter he devoted his life to his seven beautiful grandchildren. Kenny was seen every morning enjoying breakfast at “How's Your Onion” in Derry. He was always a part of his children's activities growing up. He coached for the Derry Demons for many years then went on and served on the state board which he enjoyed very much!
Kenneth is leaving behind his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Skinner Baillargeon of Derry. He is also survived by his three children, Kelly M. MacKiernan and her husband, Travis MacKiernan of Derry, Kristy M. Baillargeon of Derry, and Kenneth J. Baillargeon Jr. of Manchester. He leaves his two sisters, Jackie Cronin of Windham, N.H. and Karen Baillargeon of Salem, N.H. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Michael Baillargeon who died in September of 2007. Affectionately known as “Papa” he leaves his seven grandchildren, Kayden, Tyler, Madison, Jack, Landon, Jossilyn and Kylie Mae.
