John Thomas Devine, 94


North Fort Myers, Fla. — Died at Citrus Gardens of Fort Myers after a long illness. He was born in Derry to Marion and George Devine.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth and three sons, James and wife, Sandy, John and wife, Madelyn, Fredric and wife, Dottie; eight grandchildren, James Jr, Lisa, Robert, Derek, Michael, John, Amy, Chad; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter, and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Harriet, 98, and Grace, 87.

John graduated from Pinkerton Academy class of 1937, where he played football for four years. He was so proud he attended Pennsylvaia. He worked at Jodi Shoe until it closed and then at Sanders Associates in Nashua until he retired with his wife to Polk City Fla. He moved to Jacksonville with his wife to live with their son, James and his wife, Sandy in 2000 and then to North Fort Myers, when James retired in 2003.
