Derry, NH — Walter H. Robie, 85, of Derry, N.H., died Wednesday, September 26 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, following a period of declining health. He was born on July 13, 1927, in Londonderry, N.H., a son of the late Edison F. and Nancy (Hurd) Robie. Mr. Robie proudly served his country with the US Navy, serving during World War II. He loved working in his garden, growing Dahlias, and took pride in keeping up his yard. Walter enjoyed golfing which he continued to do up until he turned 80. He also enjoyed woodworking, having made cabinets in his younger years and birdhouses more recently.
He is survived by his three sons, Dana Robie of New Boston, N.H, Tyler Robie of Tewksbury, Mass., and Lyle Robie of Independence, Wiss., eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his wife Cleonice (Gallarane) Robie and one son, Harrison Robie.
ARRANGEMENTS: Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Sunday October 7 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry.
