LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Planning Board and Community Development Department have announced that the phone survey for the Northwest Small Area Master Plan will be conducted during the first two weeks of June.
The town, with the cooperation of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission and the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Survey Center are in the process of developing a small area master plan for the northwest portion of Londonderry, in the hopes of charting the future direction for land use, transportation and economic development in that portion of the community.
As part of this effort, the town has contracted with the UNH Survey Center to perform a 500-call, random sampling phone survey of Londonderry residents. The survey will cover topics such as:
r Residents' perception of growth in the northwest area and the town as a whole.
r Residents' preferences for the type of development desired for the community.
r Residents' feelings about future economic development efforts by the town.
r Other questions related to transportation and land use issues.
Londonderry residents are asked to please answer the survey if they are selected for one of the calls. The participation of Londonderry residents is critical to the success of the Small Area Master Plan effort. Residents with caller ID are encouraged to please answer calls from either "UNH Survey Center" or "University of New Hampshire."
