Avoid bears in the back yard; take feeders down
Courtesy photo/NH Fish and Game Three bears snack on seed from backyard feeders they knocked down. Officials ask that residents take in all bird feeders now and leave them down until Dec. 1.
To help prevent bear visits, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department recommends taking down birdfeeders from April 1 to Dec. 1.
