LONDONDERRY — A serious crash that injured a driver and his two passengers temporarily shut down Interstate 93 at noontime Sunday.
A 2004 Kia Optima driven by Philip Couture, 27, of Bow, drifted from the right lane, into the breakdown lane and struck a guardrail near mile marker 14.4, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Couture was taken by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital for treatment. Highway traffic was briefly shut down so the chopper could land, state police said.
Couture's passengers, Sara Cybulski, 21, of Concord and a 2-year-old girl, were both taken to Parkland Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Police said neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
However, police are looking for the public's help. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Trooper Jeffrey Tenczar at 271-1154.
