---- — Art on display at Leach Library

Leach Library on Mammoth Road hosts the artwork of artist Aline Lotter of Manchester throughout the month of May.

Lotter’s inspiration includes views of the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. The display is open to the public during regular library hours.

Hear a whale of a tale May 20

Leach Library hosts a presentation by the Seacoast Science Center on May 20 from 4 to 5 p.m.

The children’s program includes facts about whales, stories and even a chance for children to touch real whale bones.

Advance registration is required by calling 432-1127 or stop by the library’s Children’s Room.

Memorial Day Mass planned

St. Jude Parish celebrates a Memorial Day Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery on May 27 at 9 a.m.

Anyone attending is asked to bring folding chairs and bring bug spray.

In the event of inclement weather, Mass will be celebrated at St. Jude, 435 Mammoth Road. Call the Rev. Robert Couto at 432-3333.

Rotary Club plans annual car show

Londonderry Rotary Club hosts its 22nd annual Memorial Day Classic Car Show on May 26 at Londonderry Square under the clock tower.

The show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is May 27.

There will be several categories of classic cars on display and also a motorcycle competition. Trophies will be given for antiques, street rods, muscle cars, and special interest vehicles.

Preregistration is $10, $15 the day of the show.

Cars can be registered from 8:30 to 11 a.m. the day of the show. The public is invited.

The cost is $3 for adults, $7 for a family admission. Proceeds will benefit Londonderry Rotary charities. Call for information at 432-1166.

Trivia night planned for June 1

The Derry Friendship Center hosts a trivia night event on June 1 at Londonderry Presbyterian Church, 126 Pillsbury Road.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person. The winning table will get prizes.

All proceeds will support Londonderry Presbyterian Church. Call 421-0255 for information.
