---- — American Legion hosts Halloween Party

In order to raise money for breast cancer, American Legion Post 27 in Londonderry will be hosting a Halloween Party on Oct. 26. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will end at midnight.

Those who donate $5 will receive a free drink.

DJ Sharon will be providing karaoke.

While costumes are not required, they are encouraged.

Public hearing on Woodmont Commons

On Nov. 5, the Town Council will host a public hearing about Woodmont Commons.

The meeting is set to start at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Residents are welcomed to attend and ask questions.

Town Council Chairman John Farrell has invited members of the Planning Board to attend.

The application passed earlier this month and residents will now have a chance to ask specific technical questions.

Resident featured in dance production

Londonderry resident Nicole Lyons is being featured in a dance production of “Cabaret” at Dean College in Franklin, Mass.

There will be two shows on Oct. 26., at 6:30 and 9 p.m.

Library closes for repairs

Leach Library will be closed from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

Technicians will be replacing the library’s HVAC system. The repairs may take longer, depending on the weather.

Boy Scouts conduct food drive

The Boy Scouts of America will be hosting their annual food drive next month.

On Nov. 3, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and their leaders will deliver Scouting for Food door hangers throughout Londonderry.

On Nov. 10, Scouts will return to collect the donated nonperishable food items left outside, to be taken to the Londonderry Central Fire Station.

The food will then be sorted and packed by Scouts at the Central Fire Station, and be picked up that same day by the Londonderry food pantries.
