Supervisors of Checklist in session

The Supervisors of the Checklist will be at the town offices on Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon for anyone wishing to register to vote in time for the upcoming town and school elections. Proof of citizenship, identity and residency is required.

Youth lacrosse information offered

Londonderry’s youth lacrosse program offers a parent information night on Feb. 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Matthew Thornton Elementary School’s cafeteria. An equipment swap is held Jan. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sign-ups are held for the spring season. Visit for information.

Library hosts ‘Songs of Old New Hampshire’

Leach Library will present the program “Songs of Old New Hampshire” on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at the library on Mammoth Road.

The program will be presented by Jeff Warner, a leading interpreter of traditional music. Warner has performed widely around the world in schools, clubs and at festivals.

He has toured nationally for the Smithsonian Institution and is a recording artist.

Warner will offer songs and stories about the state including love songs, ballads and other pieces revealing the experiences of daily life through the decades.

The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited to the first 90 people.

Rotary gives prize money

The Londonderry Rotary Club awarded $10,000 in raffle prizes to benefit Londonderry High School scholarships and club charities. The prizes were given at a Rotary event on Jan. 7 at the Coach Stop Restaurant.

Winners included Erin Timmeny, first prize; Marylin Bookman, second prize; Dennis Sargent, third prize, and a fourth prize was also given but names were not available.

Concert planned

Londonderry Lions Club will present a concert featuring Bobby and the Sharptones and other rock and roll classics of the 50s through the 80s on Feb. 15 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Lions Hall on Mammoth Road.

Proceeds will go to support high school scholarships and Lions’ charities. Tickets cost $15 and reserved tables are available. Call 434-5307 for information.
