Post 27 keeps busy

American Legion Post 27 on Sargent Road hosts a schedule of events and holiday activities. The post home is once again a dropoff location for Toys for Tots. Drop off new, unwrapped toys.

A Toys for Tots dinner will be held Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m.. On Dec. 23, the post runs bingo at the Veterans Hospital in Manchester from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Donations are appreciated or stop by to help.

On Dec. 27, the post hosts karaoke with DJ Sharon at 7:30 p.m. All members and guests are welcome at events. The post is also seeking new members having appropriate military service dates. Also, men whose fathers or grandfathers are eligible for members as well as women related to qualified members are welcome.

These two groups can join the Sons of the American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary, respectively.

Knights selling trees

St. Mark’s Council 10488 Knights of Columbus continue holiday tree sales at Chuck’s BP Station, Route 102. Trees are New Hampshire-grown and range from the smallest up to 8 feet or more.

Tree sales are Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday through Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. until trees are gone. Proceeds benefit Knights’ charities in the community.
