to Adventure

Leach Library starts Passport to Adventure next week, a program open to patrons of all ages.

Each session, participants will embark on a different adventure around the world. Adventures will draw on stories, songs and activities from our destination.

Before embarking, each participant will receive a passport. At each weekly destinations, the passport will be stamped. At the conclusion of the session, all participants, both adults and children, who have visited all four destinations, will have a chance to enter into a raffle for a special prize.

The program will be held on Tuesdays from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: Dec. 4 and 11, Jan. 8 and 15.

Advent Lessons and Carols coming soon

The St. Jude Parish adult choir will present the 12th Annual Advent Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m.

The concert will feature traditional and contemporary Advent music and readings from Sacred Scripture heralding the expectation of the birth of Jesus Christ.

This spiritual musical event is an opportunity to slow down during this busy season and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

The concert is free to the public and all are welcome.

St. Jude Parish is located at 435 Mammoth Road.

Santa and his wife return Dec. 15

Attention all kids and parents, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be returning to The Londonderry Access Center this year.

They will be visiting on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. Kids can come between those hours and tell Santa what they want for Christmas, live on CTV-20.

Santa will be giving out goodies, telling stories and kids can even sing their favorite Christmas carols. It is always a lot of fun. Santa cannot wait to see you.

Parents, this is a perfect opportunity to get a picture of your child on Santa’s lap. The best part is, it’s completely free.
