---- — LONDONDERRY — Concerts on the Common continue July 17 with the Jamie Lynn Hart Band.
Concerts are held on the Town Common Wednesday evenings. They are all from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The summer of 2013 is the 12th season of concerts, with a great schedule of diverse and talented performers. The artists and bands range from local groups to regional performers to nationally known acts.
Different local groups offering concessions at the concerts and there’s an ice cream truck.
They always have a scheduled concert. If it is raining/bad weather, then the concert moves to the Matthew Thornton gym or the Londonderry High School cafeteria. Both schools are just north of the Common on Mammoth Road. Just park in the appropriate school’s parking lot and come on in the school’s front entrance.
On July 17, the Jamie Lynn Hart Band will return after rocking the house last year.
Boston-based artist Jamie Lynn Hart creates a seamless blend of rock and pop that backs up her powerhouse belt and infectious melodies.
With her captivating voice, poetic lyrics and mastered musicianship, she creates a commanding sound reminiscent of KT Tunstall and Paula Cole.
Her rocking band provides a solid foundation for her retro-soul and pop melodies, and backs off for the intimate acoustic ballads. Her latest CD, “Anticipate,” was produced by Zach McNees (Coldplay, Bjork, The Gregory Brothers).
This will be a rocking evening of music, both originals and covers.
The bad weather location is the Londonderry High School cafeteria.
The rest of the summer lineup includes: July 24, Bruce Marshall Group; July 31, Ken Yates and Brian Dunne; Aug. 7, Manchuka.
