New office hours set

The Londonderry Building, Health and Zoning Enforcement offices offers revised hours.

This is an effort to address a gap in administrative services and provide opportunity for staff to maintain office efficienty.

The department will be closed to walk-in customer service on Wednesday of each week. All other functions of the department will continue as usual including normal construction inspections.

Office hours will be: Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, closed; Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop Off Center accepts tanks

The town’s Drop Off Center is now accepting small propane tanks for disposal, according to the Public Works Department.

Tanks weighing 20 pounds will be accepted for $4. Tanks weighing 1 or 2 pounds will be accepted for free.

Residents should secure the tanks in their vehicle in an upright position to avoid damage while transporting them. Tanks should not be de-valved or emptied further.

The Drop Off Center staff will show residents where they should remove their tanks.

The center is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., from April to November. Payment should be by check only.

Fall bulb sale is underway

Friends of the Leach Library’s fall bulb sale is now underway.

This year, there are 27 varieties of spring and summer flowers available including a new “Spring Garden Collection” and a “Rock Garden Collection” along with daffodils, iris, and tulips.

Orders can be placed at the library through Sept. 28.

Bake sale planned Sept. 1

St. Jude’s Women’s Guild hosts its annual bake sale on Sept. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mack’s Apples on Mammoth Road.

There will be homemade pies, cookies, cakes and other fall treats for sale.
