Winslow is Old Home Day grand marshal

LONDONDERRY — Pollyann Winslow will lead this year’s Old Home Day parade as its grand marshal, riding in style down Mammoth Road on Aug. 16.

Old Home Day runs from Aug. 13 through Aug. 17 with a long list of activities, special events, booths, the parade, fireworks and much more.

This year is the 115th annual celebration.

This year’s Old Home Day theme is “Londonderry — Where Memories Are Made.”

Winslow was selected last week to be the parade grand marshal.

She has been very active for many years in various facets of the town, including serving as a ballot clerk, supporting the Londonderry High School music department and working hard as a Londonderry Trailways supporter and volunteer.

The Old Home Day Committee chooses the grand marshal each year from a list of members’ choices.

The Old Home Day theme is chosen every year after receiving ideas from local schoolchildren. This year’s theme was entered by Deanna Poulin’s fourth-grade class at South Elementary School.

The class will receive a party for its efforts submitting the winning theme.
