Local artwork is on display

Londonderry artist Joanne Beausoleil is exhibiting her paintings through the month of June at Hampstead Public Library. She is a member of the NH Plein Air group and her main focus is landscapes.

The paintings will be on display in the library’s second-floor meeting room.

Leach Library welcomes artist

Artist Jenn Vigneau is Leach Library’s Artist of the Month and has her works display through the end of May.

The library regularly puts area artists’ work in the spotlight in special displays all around the library’s main floor.

Women’s Club sponsors sale

The Londondery Women’s Club hosts its annual toy swap/sale May 17 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Matthew Thornton Elementary School gym on Mammoth Road.

There will be gently used toys, games, baby items, sporting goods and other items for sale. Proceeds go to support the YMCA.

Londonderry Lions Club hosts yard sale

Londonderry Lions Club hosts a yard sale May 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lions Hall on Mammoth Road.

Donations are accepted and can be dropped off through May 16 at the hall’s shelter near the main building.

Large kitchen appliances, couches, skis, air conditioners or television are not accepted. Rental table space is also available by calling 548-5011.

Meteorologist speaks at library

Leach Library welcomes TV meteorologist Josh Judge for a program “Forecasting for Television” May 22 at 7 p.m.

Judge will offer information on his job forecasting the weather in New Hampshire and what he does to study the weather. The program is free.

Moose Hill accepting 2014-15 registrations

Moose Hill School is now accepting registrations for the 2014-2015 school year. Families with children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30, 2014, and live in Londonderry can enroll.

The kindergarten program has two sessions, morning and afternoon. The morning session is 8:45 to 11:20 a.m. and the afternoon sessions are 12:30 to 3:05 p.m. Sessions are determined by where child lives in town.
