Aviation Museum offers free day
The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire offers a free admission day on Friday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission includes free tours of the museum.
In addition, children under 10 can enjoy a story time at 11 a.m., offered by museum executive director Jessica Pappathan.
Children over 10 can take part in a paper airplane design and building project at 1 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Art in Action returns
Art in Action featuring local artists returns to Mack’s Apples farm stand on Mammoth Road May 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Twenty-three artists will be on hand to demonstrate their works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and other mixed media.
Student artists will also participate by acting as living statues posing in costume on platforms outside the farm stand.
Aviation presents ‘Second Saturday’
The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire presents its “Second Saturday” museum event May 10 at 11 a.m. at the museum, 27 Navigator Road. The series is a monthly event.
This month’s activities include a visit by New Hampshire resident Bob Hough who will offer a unique look at the Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, S.C., an aviation facility that is known as the “aviator’s field of dreams.”
This presentation begins at 11 a.m. in the museum’s Slusser Aviation Learning Center. Call 669-4820 for information.
Tupelo hosts student musicians
May 7 is Jazz Night at Tupelo Music Hall. Come hear the best high school jazz players in New Hampshire play in the award winning 21-piece NH Youth Jazz Ensemble led by Manchester Community Music School faculty member Carl Benevides.
The evening features several guest artists including celebrated trumpet artist and educator Trent Austin; jazz drummer and Berklee graduate Les Harris Jr.; and jazz saxophone player and instructor Charlie Jennison.
