Museum hosts Grenier celebration

The event runs all day and begins at 10 a.m.

Men and women who worked at the base from 1940 to 1966 are invited to attend.

A fully restored Grenier Field exhibit will be unveiled at the museum, that depicts life on the installation and the history of Lt. Grenier, for whom the field was named.

There will be guided bus tours throughout the day. Guests can call and reserve bus tickets for the tours.

There will be children’s events, including a scavenger hunt, and period vehicles from the past will be on display. Active duty U.S. military personnel and their families will be admitted free as the museum is a Blue Star museum. Call 669-4820 or visit
