Leach Library hosts a children’s program, “Make Your Own Celestial Wind Chime” today at 4 p.m.

Children can make their own wind chime out of simple craft materials. Advance registration is required by calling 432-1127.

Legion flag ceremony is June 14

American Legion Post 27, 6 Sargent Road, hosts a Flag Day ceremony Saturday, June 14, at 7 p.m.

All are asked to bring old, unserviceable flags to the post for proper disposal.

Summer Fun Book Bingo offered

Leach Library hosts a children’s Summer Fun Book Bingo event June 16, at 4 p.m.

Children will be able to win books by playing the a popular bingo-style game. Call for information at 432-1127.

Enjoy ‘Songs of Old New Hampshire’

Leach Library presents a program “Songs of Old New Hampshire” Thursday, June 19.

The free program begins at 7 p.m. in the library’s lower-level meeting room.

Jeff Warner will present the program and will offer music and information on the state’s musical history.

Sing karaoke at Post 27 June 20

American Legion Post 27, 6 Sargent Road, offers a night of karaoke Friday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Museum hosts Grenier celebration

The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire hosts a homecoming celebration to honor the history of the former Grenier Air Force Base on Saturday, July 19.

The event runs all day and begins at 10 a.m.

Men and women who worked at the base from 1940 to 1966 are invited to attend.

A fully restored Grenier Field exhibit will be unveiled at the museum, that depicts life on the installation and the history of Lt. Grenier, for whom the field was named.

There will be guided bus tours throughout the day. Guests can call and reserve bus tickets for the tours.

There will be children’s events, including a scavenger hunt, and period vehicles from the past will be on display. Active duty U.S. military personnel and their families will be admitted free as the museum is a Blue Star museum. Call 669-4820 or visit aviationmuseumofnh.org.

Calling all artists to Londonderry

The Londonderry Arts Council is sponsoring the 10th annual Art on the Common show Saturday, Sept. 13. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 14.

The show will be at the Town Common, at the corner of Pillsbury and Mammoth Roads. This year’s theme is “The Wild.”

The show is open to artists 18 and older in the following categories: painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

Register now for kindergarten

Londonderry families can register their children for kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year at the Moose HIll School.

Any resident with a child turning 5 years old by Sept. 30 of this year can enroll.

Call the school at 437-5855 for information, visit londonderry.org to request a registration packet. Moose Hill offers morning and afternoon kindergarten sessions. Sessions are determined by a child’s residence.
