Pets get vaccinated at annual rabies clinic in Derry

Some dogs and cats don’t seem to mind getting their rabies vaccinations. Then there are others, like MJ pictured above, who are less appreciative.

Another sign of spring in New Hampshire is the rabies clinic. On Saturday, dogs and cats lined up with their owners to get low-cost shots in Derry.

It’s also time to license the resident canine. The deadline is next month, but April is the time to do it. If a dog has been licensed before, both Derry and Londonderry offer online renewal on the town websites.

Cats don’t need licenses, but they should be protected against rabies.
