Town begins mosquito control
The mosquito control program begins next week. Crews from Dragon Mosquito Control will be checking swamps, marshes, woodland pools, ditches, storm drains and other shallow, stagnant water areas to check on any mosquito larvae.
Control of adult mosquitoes may be done in preparation for this summer’s Old Home Day celebration at areas including the Town Common, Matthew Thornton Elementary School, Londonderry Middle School and Londonderry High School.
If any Eastern Equine Encephalitis or West Nile virus is located in or near Londonderry, emergency spraying may take place at all town schools, fields, and Town Common areas.
Residents who do not want their wetlands treated can use the No-Spray Registry at dragonmosquito.com/no-spray-registry.
