Town buildings get upgrades
The Town Council approved spending more than $8,000 from the town’s Expendable Maintenance Trust Fund to help make improvements to town buildings and grounds.
Voters in turn officially approved this funding in 2003 and since then money has been spent when repairs are needed.
At the Council meeting Aug. 1, councilors approved the money for projects including a building fire alarm at South Fire Station; yard hydrant repair at North Fire Station; Community Development office at town hall, new mobile storage space for documents; and a new ductless split AC unit for the North Fire station.
