Emergency preparedness planned
Greater Derry Public Health Network coordinator Garret Simonsen presents an Elder Affairs Community workshop on emergency preparedness on Feb. 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Leach Library.
The workshop will offer simple strategies for becoming better prepared at home for a range of emergency situations. Information will be provided on ways to assemble the proper resources in case of an emergency.
The event is sponsored by the Londonderry Elder Affairs Committee.
Leach Library hosts a visit by Benjamin Franklin on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.

Sign up for either the Tuesday or Thursday class, or both. The new sessions begin the week of March 5 and are held 9 to 10 a.m. at the Londonderry YMCA, 106 Rockingham Road.
Pre-registration and prepayment are required. For more details, call YMCA of Greater Londonderry at 437-9622, or e-mail the Y at firstname.lastname@example.org.
