LONDONDERRY — Most people have tossed out their Christmas trees, judging by the large bonfire of discarded trees set ablaze Saturday evening at Mack’s Apples.
Boy Scouts from Troop 521 hosted the 17th annual Christmas Tree Burn.
Residents were encouraged to drop off their old trees during the day, then return to watch the pile go up in flames in the early evening.
A large crowd gathered to watch the pile burn. As the flames began to die down, Scouts added some discarded wreaths as well.
The weather was crisp and clear, perfect for a community bonfire.
