Ford, 'American Idol' raise money for athletes

LONDONDERRY — The Ford dealership on Nashua Road in Londonderry will host Go Forward with Ford Night Nov. 15, a part of a national fundraising event.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, for each person who visits the Ford dealership, the company will donate $10 to the Londonderry Athletic Field Association, up to $500.

Go Forward with Ford Night is the final stretch of road for Random Acts of Fusion. The unique program, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, has generated more than 12 million consumer engagements with the Ford Fusion by playing out a story arc through multimedia platforms.

While at the dealership, consumers will have a unique opportunity to compete to win a special experience with “American Idol.” A computer with a webcam will be set up in the dealership to allow consumers to view a special message from Seacrest and test their judging skills on camera, in true “American Idol” style.

Entries will be sent back to Ford’s program headquarters where a team of experts will evaluate and select one winner to receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Hollywood and a unique experience with “American Idol.”
