Macaroni-and-cheese entry takes third

Debbie Curtin took a third-place finish in the recent New Hampshire Granite State Dairy Promotion’s macaroni-and-cheese cook-off in Concord.

Curtin won the prize for her “Mac and Cheez-It” offering in the “NH Made Category,” where she had to utilize products from the Granite State for her cheesy casserole.

Curtin was perfecting her entry right up until last weekend’s contest, saying there was a secret ingredient she could not reveal as part of her recipe.

She also wore her lucky apron handcrafted by a loving grandmother for good luck.

The top grand champion award for all entries went to David Hall and the Tilton/Northfield firefighters for their Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese recipe.
