Legion hosts ham shoot April 11

American Legion Post 27, 6 Sargent Road, hosts a ham shoot April 11 at 7 p.m. at the post home. Come win an Easter ham. Members and guests are welcome.

Ask Some Kids offer tech help April 12

The program ASK, or Ask Some Kids, returns to the Londonderry Senior Center on April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. to offer one-on-one help for seniors needing some technology support.

Students will provide help with cameras, tablets, laptops and other devices.

Legion hosts monthly meeting

American Legion Post 17 hosts its monthly meeting April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the post home, 7 Sargent Road.

Rotary fundraiser supports Sonshine

The Londonderry Rotary Club hosts a Spring Fling fundraising event featuring singer Tony Pace on April 18 at 8 p.m. at the Yard Restaurant in Manchester.

The event benefits the Sonshine Soup Kitchen in Derry and Liberty House in Manchester.

The night includes music, live auction, raffles and food. Tickets are availalble by calling 425-4532 or 490-6133.

Get rid of household hazardous waste

Londonderry and Derry residents can participate in a spring household hazardous waste collection event May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at West Running Brook Middle School.

Many toxic materials can be brought to the collection, including fertilizers, insect spray, pesticides, pool chemicals, antifreeze, gasoline, household cleaners, corrosives and solvents. Items not accepted include automotive or alkaline batteries, latex paints, explosives, used oil or infectious waste.
