Town Council to hold public hearings

LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Town Council will hold public hearings on three items at its meeting Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.

The first will be on whether to establish a development program and tax increment financing plan, commonly referred to as a TIF district, for the airport area infrastructure district.

The second public hearing will be on a proposed Londonderry Fire Department Fire Alarm Ordinance. Fire officials have suggested penalties might encourage people to have their alarm systems in better working order and spare firefighters from responding to so many false alarms.

The third public hearing will also involve the Londonderry Fire Department, this time for adjustment of license and inspection fees.

The council meets at the Londonderry Town Hall, 268B Mammoth Road.

Copies of the proposed amendment for the TIF resolutions may be viewed at the town manager’s office during regular business hours and online at

Local trail tours continue

The tour begins at 3 p.m. Those attending the tour are asked to park off Exit 5 on Route 28 at the corner of Liberty Drive and Independence, behind the Irving gas station.
