Londonderry Lions Club blood drive
The Londonderry Lions Club will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive Tuesday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 6 p.m.
All eligible donors are needed at this time to avoid a serious summer blood shortage. Each donor will receive a Red Sox Nation/American Red Cross T-shirt.
The Lions Club hall is located at 259 Mammoth Road.

Hee haw, come to the hoedown
Londonderry Senior Citizens Inc. hosts its annual barbecue/hoedown fundraiser Wednesday, Aug. 11.
The chuck wagon will feature hamburgers and hot dogs with assorted toppings, chicken wings, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob, assorted desserts, and hot and cold drinks.
The fundraiser is open to everyone, but signup is required by stopping by the Londonderry Senior Center at 535 Old Mammoth Road or by calling 432-8554.
The cost is $10 per person, $5 for children age 10 and under. The barbecue will begin at noon ,followed by a line dancing hoedown from 1 to 3 p.m.
Although not mandatory, Western theme dressing is encouraged. Proceeds from this event will be used for a new flat screen TV for the senior center.
