Primping, photo ops and more — getting ready for the prom
LONDONDERRY — Prom day is just as special as prom night. The Derry News followed five friends from Londonderry High School — Aleah Hart, Haley Iarocci, Taylor Natella, Gia Puopolo and Samantha Sfameni — as they got ready for their senior prom.
Starting at the Water's Edge Salon and Spa in Londonderry, three of the girls had their hair done up and the other two came by to visit. Then they were off to Aleah's home where they put on make-up and changed into their jewel-colored gowns. Their dates — Nick Marquis, Kyle O'Connor, Chris Gagnon, Adam Bardwell and Tyler Peterson — soon arrived with corsages and boutonnieres in hand.
Family and friends took part in the fun and took photos. Then the group went to yet another friend's home where they were joined by a dozen more friends headed for the prom. More photos were taken, and then they all piled into a stretch Hummer limo and it was off to the Radisson Hotel in Manchester for their big night, which was themed "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
