Scouts to host Christmas tree bonfire Jan. 4
Londonderry Boy Scout Troop 521 hosts its annual Christmas tree bonfire event on Jan. 4 at Mack’s Apples.
The troop will accept trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monetary donations will be accepted.
The bonfire begins at dusk. All are welcome to come enjoy the night. This is the 19th year for the event.
Winter library programs set
Leach Library on Mammoth Road offers winter programs for children, including story hours and special events.
The next session of the winter story times begins Jan 8 and runs through Jan. 16.

Can you ‘Shake,Move and Read?’
Leach Library hosts its “Shake, Move and Read” events on Jan. 8 and 15 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. at the library on Mammoth Road.
Children of all ages can join weekly event to explore different themes using songs, finger plays, stories and simple crafts.

Library hostsVatican event
Leach Library hosts “Treasures of the Vatican” on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. The program features Dr. Andrew Laurie Stangel, who will offer a narrated guided tour through one of the world’s greatest collections of art.
Stangel is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UCLA and professor of art at the University of New Hampshire.
He has lectured all over the United States and Europe. He created and directed the Art History Tours for the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the library’s lower-level meeting room.
Help in fightagainst breast cancer
The Londonderry Lancers and Manchester Monarchs are teaming up to help fight breast cancer.
Purchase “Pink in the Rink” night tickets for the Monarchs game Feb. 8 and support the cause. Tickets are available for Silver and Gold seats at $20 and $25, respectively.
