Women’s Club welcomes new members

The next general meeting for the Londonderry Women’s Club is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19, for a night at the movies. Anyone interested in joining the club is welcome to attend.

The Londonderry Women’s Club is a civic and social organization that has been involved in the community for more than 40 years. The club meets monthly (the third Wednesday of each month September through May) and is a great way to meet new friends and get involved in the community.

Bingo for veterans set

American Legion Post 27, 6 Sargent Road, runs bingo for patients at the VA Hospital in Manchester Feb. 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Donations are appreciated or come out and help. Pizza and diet soda will be served. Visit for information.

Fighting fraud program planned

Londonderry Fire Department’s Fraud Fighters Program presents a winter educational program Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at Londonderry Leach Library.

The program is also sponsored by Londonderry Elder Affairs Committee and deals with ways to recognize fraud, outsmart scammers and prevent fraud from happening, especially to the elderly.

All are welcome to attend. The library is at 276 Mammoth Road.

New Legion post members sought

American Legion Post 27, 6 Sargent Road, seeks new members who have the appropriate military service dates.

The post welcomes men whose fathers or grandfathers are eligible for membership as well as women related to qualified members.

Moose Hill registration starts

Moose Hill School is now registering children for the 2014-2015 school year. Parents with children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30, 2014, and live in Londonderry can enroll now.

Call the school at 437-5855 or stop by the school between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The kindergarten program has two sessions, morning and afternoon. The morning session is 8:45 to 11:20 a.m. and the afternoon meets from 12:30 to 3:05 p.m. The session is determined by where a student lives in town.
