---- — LONDONDERRY — It took several buses, four planes and one big moving van to get student musicians and their instruments from Londonderry High School to Florida last week for performances at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

The giant undertaking sent 370 members of the marching band, orchestra, jazz ensemble and chorus to Florida. Parents and other chaperones accompanied the musicians to the sunny state on four separate flights from Logan Airport in Boston.

Sending all the instruments and other equipment by moving truck made the trip a bit easier, according to Londonderry music director Andy Soucy.

The week in Florida included performances at various theme parks, including a parade in Downtown Disney. Students rehearsed for their school vacation trek for several weeks prior to the trip.
