---- — Annual toy swap planned May 4

The Londonderry Women’s Club hosts its annual toy swap/sale on May 4 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Matthew Thornton Elementary School gym.

This is a consignment sale featuring children’s and baby items in good condition and no longer in use.

Proceeds will benefit Londonderry’s ALERT emergency response team program. Registration is held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. the day of the sale.

Art on display at library all month

During the month of May, nine oil paintings by Aline Lotter will be on display at the Leach Library, 276 Mammoth Road.

The works are inspired by the Arnold Arboretum in Boston and were painted on site for a special exhibition at the Arboretum.

Lotter is a Manchester artist and active in the NH Plein Air group, Manchester Artists Association and Women’s Caucus for Art. Visit paintingsbyaline.com for information.

‘On the Prairie’ program planned

Leach Library hosts an “On the Prairie” program for children on May 6 from 4 to 5 p.m.

The program features information on the life of animals on the prairie.

Advance registration is required by calling the library at 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room.

Lions plan a yard sale on May 11

Londonderry Lions host a yard sale on May 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lions Hall in Mammoth Road across from the Town Common.

Donations are welcome, beginning May 3, at the shelter area near the hall. No large appliances, furniture, computers, televisions or air conditioners can be accepted.

People can also sell their own items at the sale by renting space. Call 216-1637 for information.

All proceeds go to support Lions’ charities in the community.

Help Beautify Londonderry in May

“Beautify Londonderry” iwill be held May 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26.

The weekends are planned as cleaning efforts around town. Groups and individuals are invited to participate.
