are on sale now

Tickets for Londonderry High School’s ninth annual PRISM concert are now on sale.

The PRISM concert is a kaleidoscope of songs and instrumental arrangements, presented in succession on three separate stages.

Students will preform in various styles and genres of music. The music is continuous with an emphasis on popular music, original and classical pieces, and jazz and lighter concert fare.

Tickets can be purchased at for $12 apiece. In addition, those who purchase their tickets online will be offered a discounted price of $8 for the DVD.

Republicans hold machine gun shoot

On Saturday, Oct. 20, the Manchester Republican Committee will be holding a machine gun shoot.

The event will last from 9 a.m. to 4 the Londonderry Fish and Game Club, 5 Lund St., Litchfield.

The entrance fee is $20 in cash. Ammunition can be purchased for either $25 or $75, depending on the firearm.

Machine Gun Safari LLC will provide instructions, supervision, eye protection, ear protection and firearms.

Shred unwanted documents

Residents are invited to shred unwanted or private documents at Hampshire First Bank at 68 Nashua Road.

The free event on Oct. 20 will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents can bring nonperishable food items and paper goods to the event for donation to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen in Derry.

Northeast Record Retention will handle document shredding and disposal.

Car seat inspections offered

On Tuesday Oct. 30, the Child Safety Passenger Program will be hosting free car seat inspections.

From 6 to 8 p.m. at Londonderry Fire Rescue South Station at 17 Young Road, residents are welcome to have their car seats inspected for safety concerns.

History comes to life at Leach Library

Performer Joan Gatturna will take on the role of Rachel Revere, second wife of Paul Revere, at Leach Library on Nov. 15.

Starting at 7 p.m., the one-woman show, “The Other Side of the Midnight Ride: A Visit with Rachel Revere,” will cover the life of historical figure.

The performance will bring the stories of the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the Siege of Boston to life.
