LONDONDERRY — If the hot weather is dragging you down, head to the Londonderry Senior Center, enjoy the air-conditioned atmosphere and check out one of the many regularly scheduled activities there.
Try your luck at bingo every Tuesday and Wednesday, beginning at 12:15 p.m. Bingo is open to all senior center members. For more details, call 432-8554.
If cards are more your style, drop in Tuesday at about 9:30 a.m. for a few hands of poker. Not sure how to play? The regulars will fill you in.
Monday is Mah Jong day, starting at 9 a.m.
If physical activity is what you're after, check out Video Chair Exercise Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m. You can exercise and never leave your seat.
Sharon Dobbie leads line dancing Thursday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Everyone is welcome to get in on the action. The cost is $3 for members, $5 for non-members.
The Londonderry Senior Center offers several other fitness classes. There is the Senior Fitness Class with Karen on Wednesdays and Bone Builders on Mondays and Fridays. For more information, see Sara or Elaine.
Keep yours hands busy Tuesday mornings. Knitters and crocheters get together to work on their projects and chat. Call the center for specifics.
Venture into the world on computing and let Don help you get there. One-on-one classes are available Wednesday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Call for an appointment.
Plan to enjoy lunch at the senior center, too, because it's the place to be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
There is a requested donation of $2. If you are interested in attending a meal, sign up in the reservation book or contact the Rockingham MOW Leader for more information. If you make a reservation and then can't attend, call the meals leader at 432-8554. Reservations must be made one week in advance.
