Come home to Derry
The annual Derryfest celebration is set for Sept. 15 at MacGregor Park.
For more than 20 years, the daylong celebration has offered information, entertainment, activities and plenty of town spirit. This year, the event is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
”It’s a great way to kick off the beautiful fall season and get to know your neighbors,” Derryfest committee member Mike Gendron said.

The caller was concerned trespassers were trying to gain entry into the FAA building on Sargent Road. The building holds equipment responsible for coordinating planes with the nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
No religious persecution
On two separate occasions during recent town board meetings, Rotarian Reed Clark needed to thank his new saviors.
During a Town Council Meeting earlier this month, Clark said, “I thank the Rain God, my rain dance worked nicely and the Wood Chip God.”
Clark was referring to the nice weather and extra land provided by new mulch for Old Home Day festivities.
