Enjoy conversation and good food Sunday

DERRY — There will be a free meal on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry.

The meal is sponsored by Elijah’s Table, a joint project of Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and Etz Hayim Synagogue.

Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and goes to 6:30 p.m. Get out of the cold, and enjoy a wonderful meal in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is welcome.

Celebrate Tu B’shevat Friday evening

DERRY — A special seder meal to celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the New Year for Trees, will be held at Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1 1/2 Hood Road, on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7:15 p.m.

During the ceremony, participants will sample foods grown in Israel as part of the seder meal. Etz Hayim invites everyone to visit and take part in the event.
