Londonderry police received a complaint call July 25 from South Road.

The resident was upset by shooting, audible since 7:30 that morning.

No action was taken.

“It’s Derry police at their range,” the log read.

Bus load of support

Family and friends supporting Derry teen Jordan Puzzo were set to pile onto a school bus to drive to Rhode Island for a film showing of the young Puzzo’s movie “Funeral Kings.”

Jordan, 14, is making a name for himself in the movie and entertainment world ,and has worked with the likes of Bruce Willis and Bill Murray.

Three’s a musical charm

Anyone loving some good summer music has three more opportunities to hear great sounds under the stars.

The free concert series in MacGregor Park finishes out the 2012 season with performances by the Josh Logan Trio on Aug. 2; Fried Cactus takes the park stage on Aug. 7; and The Mirage Band finishes out the season on Aug. 9. All shows begin at 7 p.m.

Don’t forget the bug spray and lawn chairs or blankets.

Warm weather pranks

Summer pranks gave notice to Londonderry police as several callers came in last month reporting juveniles “fooling around” in front of a Buckingham Drive home.

Another caller reported two youths lying down in the roadway and then “jumping up when vehicles passed.”
