New business set to hang out a thimble
DERRY — A new type of store will be moving into Derry this November. Sewing Diva: Quilt and Gift Shop will be opening at 16 Manning St. The Grand Opening is planned to be Nov. 28, The shop will be offering sewing, knitting, and croqueting supplies, as well as classes for both children and adults. It will also be selling homemade gifts, most under $10.
Sewing Diva is hoped to be a place where people can go and work on their own projects, and get the help they need. It plans to have many classes for children, to teach them how to sew, as well as how to keep at it. The first class is scheduled tentatively for December 5, 2009. Flyers will be posted in the window well before, with times and other details.
Hours of operation are as follows: Tuesday, 9-6; Wednesday, 9-5; Thursday, 9-7; Friday and Saturday, 9-5; and Sunday, 10-4.
