LONDONDERRY _ On Friday, July 27, the Londonderry Freezer Warehouse held a grand opening of its new 87,000-square-foot addition to its facility at 219 Rockingham Road in Londonderry.
The addition is its second since the original 60,000-square-foot facility was built in 1998. In 2011, with the purchase of a parcel of land adjacent to its existing lot from the Verani Family, construction commenced for another 87,000-square-foot addition.
That brings the total size of the Londonderry Freezer Warehouse facility to 181,000 square feet.
The new building will feature state-of-the-art refrigerated storage, conference facilities, corporate offices and quality assurance inspection rooms.
Edward Dougherty, president of the Freezer Warehouse and Highwood Cold Storage, has made an investment in Londonderry of more than 300,000 square feet.
Bedford Design Consultants Inc. of Manchester provided the site engineering and permitting services to the addition. The Stahlman Group of Concord provided the construction management services.
