FedEx honors DeSantis as Entrepreneur of the Year
PITTSBURGH — FedEx Ground, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has recognized Peter DeSantis of Candia as a regional Entrepreneur of the Year award recipient. DeSantis is the owner of Reliable Delivery Service Inc., which serves as a contracted delivery agent for FedEx Ground in its Manchester station and serves customers in Derry, Londonderry, Salem and Windham.
The FedEx Ground Entrepreneur of the Year honor was established in 2007 to recognize business men and women, who have built businesses that most consistently go the extra mile to safely deliver superior customer service, help fellow delivery business owners succeed and support their local communities.
"FedEx Ground works in collaboration with thousands of dedicated small business owners across the country to deliver exceptional, cost-effective service to the marketplace, including several outstanding businesses in this community. And Reliable Delivery Service Inc. is one of our best," said local manager David Durette.
For 23 years, DeSantis opted to sell off extra volume and maintained just one contract with FedEx Ground before transitioning to the new Independent Service Provider agreement in June 2009. He took advantage of growth incentives to expand his business to include seven contracted areas, employ seven drivers and run as many as nine trucks on any given workday.
"(It) felt great to be recognized for all the years of hard work. The event itself was a fantastic experience and the honor is something that we can share with our entire team," DeSantis said.
MTS Services opens fourth location
LONDONDERRY — MTS Services announced the opening of its fourth location in Boxborough, Mass. For more than 20 years, MTS Services has provided a full range of services, from project planning and design to installation, testing and documentation services for low voltage structured cabling systems. Additional MTS locations include Londonderry, and Raleigh and Wilmington, N.C.

Derry woman joins Tastefully Simple
DERRY — Lori Pasieka of Derry has become an independent consultant with Tastefully Simple Inc., a national direct sales company featuring easy-to-prepare foods.
As an independent business owner, Pasieka offers food samples at home taste-testing parties, along with ideas for everyday meals, recipes and serving suggestions. All of Tastefully Simple's products are open-and-enjoy or can be prepared by adding only one or two ingredients.
