---- — Beach season may be over, but that doesn’t mean that all is quiet on the coast. Next week, from Nov. 7 to 16, dining destinations from New Hampshire to Southern Maine will be participating in Portsmouth and Seacoast Restaurant Week, sponsored by the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce.

“Restaurant Week Portsmouth and the Seacoast is an opportunity for people to travel to this historic seaport and find out why it’s such a great culinary destination,” said Kathleen Soldati, who is helping to organize restaurant week. “Visitors can make a day of it – come for the independent shops, historic tours, and the nightlife; or an overnight or weekend to stretch out their visit and really relax in this wonderful,walk-able city.”
