DERRY — The Upper Room hosts its ninth annual gala auction to support the facility's programs for at-risk youth and families.
The "Diamonds to Denim" gala is set for Nov. 5 at Promises to Keep , 128 Rockingham Road, Derry. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the auction preview and cocktail hour, with dinner and auction to follow.
The night includes raffles, silent auction and a live auction featuring local businessman, Upper Room supporter and auctioneer "Dollar Bill" Burke of Dollar Bill's Discount World.
The award-winning Red Star Twirlers will be the featured entertainment.
Proceeds from the auction benefit more than 13,000 individuals using the Upper Room for programming, services, community connections and support.
"If you are looking for a fun night on the town, or a unique place to hold your holiday party, this is the place to be," Upper Room executive director Kimberly Bavaro said. "We have many exciting live auction items to bid on."
Auction items include Red Sox/Yankees tickets, a flat screen TV, round-trip airline tickets, and a Mexican or Caribbean cruise, along with hundreds of other items.
There is still time to support the event, to donate live or silent auction items and to buy tickets.
Tickets are available for $50 per person, $100 per couple and $500 for a table of 10.
