Londonderry Town Meeting is Saturday

LONDONDERRY — That represents a 2.44 percent increase over the current budget, and is exclusive of warrant articles and increases resulting from collective bargaining agreements for the fiscal year beginning July 1.

Town Meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Londonderry High School cafeteria.

Other articles to be voted on are:

Article 5: $200,000 for the town's Maintenance Trust Fund, used to maintain town facilities by repairing or replacing worn building parts or equipment.

Article 7: $325,000 for capital reserve funds already established. These include ambulances at $60,000, highway trucks at $80,000, highway heavy equipment at $40,000 and fire trucks at $145,000.

Article 8: To ratify the collective bargaining agreement between the town and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 3657, for $104,980.

Article 9: To ratify the fact finder report for collective bargaining agreement between the Londonderry Administrative Employees Association and the town. The report was rejected by both the Town Council and Budget Committee.

Article 10: To ratify the fact finder report for collective bargaining agreement between the Londonderry Executive Employees Association and the town. This report was rejected by both the Town Council and Budget Committee.

Article 11: If Article 8 is defeated, to authorize the Town Council to call one special meeting to address Article 8 cost items only.

Article 12: $163,456 to fund the balance of the $1.65 million federal grant for construction and other associated costs for the North/West Fire Station.

Article 13: To establish a capital reserve fund to expand Pillsbury Cemetery and raise $210,00 to be place into this fund.

Article 14: To fund special revenue accounts for the sewer division fund at $2.7 million, the cable franchise fee at $371,052 and police outside detail fund at $447,183 for a total of $3.5 million.

Article 15: To place 20 percent of revenues received from the Land Use Change Tax into the Conservation Fund. Currently 100 percent of revenues are placed in the fund.
