Professional job fair planned
The Derry Cooperative School District hosts a professional staff job fair on March 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Running Brook Middle School gym, 1 West Running Brook Lane. All anticipated vacancies will be posted on the district Web site.
Prior to attending the fair, visit online at www.derry.k12.nh.us to complete an application. Bring a current resume to the fair for a brief interview with a hiring administrator. A representative from the state Department of Education will be available to answer questions relating to New Hampshire certification.

Hood plans senior citizen dance
Gilbert H. Hood Middle School hosts a senior citizen dance on March 19 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the school.
The dance is hosted by the school's National Honor Society and is an opportunity for the eighth-graders to give back to the community. The dance features a DJ, and free snacks and beverages. There is no admission charge, but guests are encouraged to RSVP by calling 432-1224.
Londonderry job fair, college fair
The Londonderry School District is holding a specialized job fair and college fair on March 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the district office located at 295 Mammoth Road. Visit www.londonderry.org/jobfair for more information.
Local Student performs in choir tour
Andrew Quinney, a junior at Hamilton College, in Clinton, NY, performs in March as part of the 2010 Hamilton College Northeast Choir Tour. The choir will perform in Arlington, VA, Philadelphia, Albany, New York City, Boston, Ridgefield, CT, and locations in Vermont. Quinney is a 2007 graduate of Pinkerton Academy and is the son of Glenn and Carol Quinney, of Chester.
