Letters to the editor

The cat is now out of the bag, in the open and transparent now and Coyle has admitted he will put in his resume. The council has decided not to acquire a professional search firm to help get a qualified candidate and all that’s left is for Coyle’s friends to twist the arms of one of the two new councilors to go along with the plan.

This just doesn’t smell right. Derry residents deserve better and need to call all the councilors and demand they find someone who is properly qualified to run the fourth largest municipality in New Hampshire. Coyle does not have any public administrative background and has never run town with a $40 million budget and 250-plus employees. We must demand better and hold these councilors accountable if they do hire Coyle.

Derry deserves a better and transparent process in hiring its next administrator and now is the time for residents to chime in before it’s too late.

Email them all at and tell them you’re watching.
