A press release came in about a Social Security workshop coming up later this month in Londonderry at the Financial Planning Adult Education Conference Center.
It was the email’s subject line that threw us: “Social Security seminar for Baby Boomers & Seniors.” Aren’t they the same group?
Don’t they have badges?
Londonderry police were called twice Friday night with concerns about suspicious activity at ATMs in town.
The first call came from an alarm company just before 9:30 p.m. A white van was at a Citizens Bank ATM and an alarm was sounding. The white van was from Diebold, an ATM security and services company.
About an hour later, police were called to Market Basket because a man came into the store and said he needed to work on the ATM. The manager was suspicious, given the late hour.
Guess what? The man was from Diebold.
Lexicographer or just too cool for school?
A black GT bears the N.H. vanity plate “WORD.”

Frosty days are ahead
As the famous Bing Crosby holiday song goes, “It won’t be long before we’ll all be there with snow ...”
Or so they hope.
With the early season snowfall totals already piling up, Frost Festival organizers hope to continue seeing enough of it fall prior to this year’s annual event, set for Feb. 14-16.
