Classic car show and model car contest
LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Rotary is gearing up for its 17th Annual Memorial Weekend Classic Car Show on Sunday, May 25.
The Rotary is taking registrations. There will be a cash prize for the club with the best participation.
On the day of the event, a wide variety of trophy classes including Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, Corvettes, Thunderbirds, Street Rods, Antiques, British models and more will be displayed.
New this year is a Model Car Contest for third- and fourth-grade, fifth- and sixth-grade, and seventh- and eighth-grade divisions. Kids are encouraged to bring their model cars for a chance to win a judges choice trophy.
"This will be fun for kids to take part in the day," said Rotarian Reed Clark.
Entertainment, food and vendors will also take part. All proceeds will benefit the Rotary's charities.
Those interested in registering a car can call Bill Basler at 432-1166.
