LONDONDERRY — Tables at the Senior Center are laden with beautiful baskets that will be raffled during Londonderry Senior Citizens Inc.'s fifth annual craft fair and bake sale to be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center.
This event is fun for everyone with handmade items and delicious refreshments. Proceeds from the day will benefit stage renovations at the center.
Brown bag lunches are popular there.
The lunch on Oct. 16 will host Donna Leitner, long-term support counselor from ServiceLink, who will answer questions regarding Medicare D and Open Enrollment. Lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. and pre-registration is required.
The economy is on everyone's mind these days and there will be a brown bag lunch on Oct. 23 at the center at 11:45 a.m. to share tips about saving money on groceries or other household expenses.
The Friends RSVP and the senior center have partnered to offer a $uper $avers Program brown bag lunch. Participants are encouraged to share their own savings tips during lunch.
Flu season is just around the corner and the center's annual flu shot clinic hosted by Rockingham VNA and Hospice will be held on Monday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No sign-up required.
Medicare B and most private insurances will pay for this vaccination. Be sure to bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, the cost is $30. There will be no pneumococcal vaccination available at this clinic.
