Brown replaces Weider on Chester Board of Selectmen

Challenger Robert Brown and incumbent Stephen Landeau earned three-year terms on the Chester Board of Selectmen in the municipal election Tuesday.

Brown, who was the top vote-getter with 388, will replace Mike Weider, who placed third in the five-man field with 235. Landeau finished with 314 votes.

Rounding out the field were Paul Krafton (225) and Joseph Castricone (126). The referendum question on Senate Bill 2, which would have changed the way the town votes on the school budget, was defeated, failing to achieve the three-fifths majority needed to pass.
